Search Engine Optimisation Really it isn't rocket science

Greetings loyal readers and competition spies, lets address the huge debated topic of "SEO" Search Engine Optimisation or Optimization if your a Yank.

Now we are not talking brain surgery here or even rocket science SEO really is not that hard, time consuming yes, need to know allot about platforms, HTML, wording and being able to spin yes, but hard I think not.

I can say this as our clients think were geniuses and good on them and thank you to them for thinking this and in many ways it is true. For someone such as my team or me it is simple. Now I am not saying we do not spend time on SEO as we do and in allot of cases it is an ongoing service most of our clients engage on.

I look on it in the same light as people who actually do make money from blogging / authority sites or advertising systems, in most cases you will never get to the truth; and all those dollars you keep spending on e-books will leave you empty both financially and emotionally. People that do make money keep their mouths well shut and you will in most cases only ever find out little snippets of what they actually do to earn this money. Then there is the new line of marketers that proclaim they earn huge amounts while in reality this could no be further from the truth.

Google do not like organic success this is obvious or they would not keep changing the pitch, but at the same time they do run a business and with that like to keep a strangle hold on the PPC market. Now on that as we as people we are pretty dumb and if we are too spend money we want to see our prospective business advertising it makes us feel more comfortable with parting with our hard earned.

This leads me into PPC and Organics go hand in hand, nearly everyone of our clients is on a managed PPC campaign and along with high organic results increases the sales / inquires of the said clients. This same philosophy rings true in mainstream advertising; it is like the old by three systems with media advertising. Client runs news print, radio and a multi media campaigns simultaneously everywhere their perspective client looks they see the company advertisements and this then builds more credibility in the eyes of the market base.

Sure there are ways to dominate the search engines, and a long standing off site SEO campaign along with on site SEO are needed in this day and age to guarantee good market share, this again boils down to branding. A company with a high profile brand will always win hands down, so where should you be spending your time for building your company?
